Verdict
Adipurush makers have said that this film is ‘based’ on the epic Ramayana, but Om rout doesn’t try to tell something new, he presented a verbal version to the big screen. However, the film has exciting and mind-boggling scenes, and that will make us glued to our seats from start to end. Though the drama in the proceedings ebbs and flows, there have some jaw-dropping scenes that will leave you on the edge of your seat in both halves of the film.
No matter how the film is, there are larger audiance who will definitely engage with the film, because it’s a Ramayana. When we look at the film, there we can see flaws, despite the slow narrative, the flow of events makes us experience the Ramayan. The film has been facing negativity with poor VFX, there are poor VFX in the film, but on the other side, there are some brilliant action scenes the VFX team skillfully executed. Despite the few flaws, Adipurush is a must-film for the theatrical experience.
Talking about performances, Prabhas performance standout as Raghava, he is too good in action scenes and some key scenes as well. Kriti Sanon as Sita is good, as she got the best screen time and she perfectly utilized it, Sunny Singh as Laxman is okay and the rest of the cast did their best.
Kudos to OM Rout for bringing this epic to the audiance, he succeded in engaging the audience but he doesn’t show anything new. He just told the story which everyone knows, though Adipurush is a theatrical experience film, if the story is much better, then the film could have become a memorable film.
Technically, Adipurush is okay, Karthik Palani is one of the biggest plus points for the film, and Ajay-Atul took the film to another level with their background score.
Finally, Despite the few flaws, Adipurush is a must watch film for a theatrical experience.
Plus Points:
- Performances
