Verdict

Agilan movie takes it’s time to establish the main characters and then slowly gets into the main plot. Revealing anything about the plot point in this movie might spoil your experience in theatres. First half of the movie will entertain the mass audience with some good fight sequences and scenes. Interval block will definitely raise the expectations on the later half.

Just like the expectations, movie manages to provide some good scenes in the later half heading to a climax that will surely make us to leave the theatres with a satisfaction of watching a good movie.

While it comes to acting performances, Jayam Ravi once again did his best and entertained the audience with his timing. He should be appreciated for choosing some different subjects rather just sticking to commercial entertainers. Priya Bhavani Shankar and Tanya Ravichandran has nothing much to do in the movie, they did what is needed for their roles. All other actors did their part as required for the characters.

Technically Agilan movie looks okay. Songs composed by Sam CS are not that good, but he once again proved his mettle as a music composed with the background score. Cinematography by Vivek Anand could have been better. Production values are good.

Director N Kalyana Krishnan tried to present a new kind of commercial entertainer with Agilan and succeeded with his making style.

Overall, Agilan is a worthy action thriller movie that has to be watched in theatres.

Plus Points:

  • Jayam Ravi
  • Background Music

Minus Points:

  • Cinematography
  • Few over the top scenes

Rating: 3/5
