Movie Verdict
If a movie is made on real life incidents, makers will definitely try to add some commercial elements to the movie to grab the attention of Indian audience. Aye Zindagi movie also has such elements included in the story, but can be found in very less scenes. Though the movie was intended to showcase the struggle and importance in life, most of the scenes in the movie have been presented in many movies earlier. Emotional drama in the movie might not connect with the audience due to lackluster writing and execution, though performed by brilliant actors on screen. Though the trailer gave a clear indication about the premise, scenes makes us feel the boredom more than the emotions of the characters.
While it comes to acting, Satyajeey Dubey is trying harder to prove his mettle as an actor. He is impressive in the role of Vinay Chawla who suffers from deadly disease and has no hopes on his survival. But the actor looks little over dramatic in few scenes. Revathi is a brilliant actor and there is no doubt about her acting chops. She was brilliant as usual and did her role perfectly to the core. Mrinmayee Godbole was impressive in her role and Sawan Tank looks okay. All other actors from the movie did their part as required for the scenes.
Technically Aye Zindagi movie looks average. Music composed by Anirban Bose & Surel Ingle is just okay and nothing special. Cinematography by Surjodeep Ghosh is decent, but most of the shots in the movie look very regular. Production vales are as required for the story of the movie.
Director Anirban Bose could have made this film more engaging if concentrated more on writing. Few over dramatic scenes from the movie might remind you some Indian television serials. Though Anirban choose a good script, his writing and execution failed to impress the audience.
Overall, Aye Zindagi is an okayish drama that can be watched once for some good performances and inspiring journey.
