Sonam Kapoor started her career as an assistant director under Sanjay Leela Bhansali and later turned into lead actress under the direction of same director with the movie “Saawariya” which terribly failed at the box-office. Even though the movie failed to entertain the audience, Sonam Kapoor still received number of offers from Hindi film industry. Financially her first film can be considered as “Raanjhana” starring Dhanush in the lead role and directed by Anand L Rai. She appeared close to 20 movies in her career, but has very less success ratio.
She was last seen in the lead role from the movie “The Zoya Factor” starring Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role and then she appeared in a small role for the movie “Ak vs Ak” starring her father Anil Kapoor and Anurag Kashyap in the lead roles. “Blind” can be considered as a comeback film for Sonam Kapoor and this movie is remake of a Korean movie with the same title that has been released in the year 2011.
