Story

Crash Course is a drama series that follows the life of eight new students who have come to study in Kota’s two most prominent, rival coaching institutes. The Ratanraj Jindal vs. Arvind Batra rivalry is an old one. They are the owners of the top institutes, hell-bent upon finishing the other to gain complete control of the education business in Kota. Their no-holds-barred rivalry is akin to a chess game. The pawns in this game, are the students and the teachers. The 8 core students – Anil, Sathya, Aviral, Rakesh, Vidhi, Shanaya, Tejal, and Nikki, represent the half a million that throng the city of Kota every year with their dreams and ambitions. Their student life is full of fun and camaraderie in the beginning but slowly the pressures and the competition intensifies. The show follows the journey of these students as they find friendship, experience first love, heartbreaks, peer pressure, and lose the innocence of youth. There is pandemonium as the two drastically different worlds of the students and the coaching institute owners collide. The stakes are raised, motives clash, and lives are put at risk.

Verdict

TVF is known for education backdrop movies and web series as Crash Course follows the same template, however, the series engages you from start to end, well the series starts off well by introducing all the 8 key characters and their goals and what made the series interesting is the director Vijay Maurya has prepared viewer mindset with series main conflict and introduce the leading coaching institute, MD Annu Kapoor.

10 episodes of this series have all the emotions and those emotions land well on the screen play, we can connect with the series from the beginning itself because we all experience the struggle of students to crack the exams and the series brilliantly showed how students mentally effected in this rat race.

Annu Kapoor is the major highlight of the series his performance and dialogue diction in every aspect just nailed it and the rest of the 8 students did their best, and kudos to the writer Vijay Maurya for bringing this story and Vijay Maurya presented it so well and he succeded in engaging the audience.

Technically Crash Course is good in terms of cinematography and the music could have been better and the rest of the departments did their best.

Finally, Crash Course is decent series that can be watched by all sections of the audience.
