Genie digital rights information is yet to be announced by the makers and the movie is expected to hit screens on 24 May 2024 tentatively. This film was officially announced in March 2023 and the regular shoot of this film began in July, with a few scenes shot in Chennai as part of the first schedule. Initially, director Arjunan wanted to cast actor Kamal Haasan in the lead role but hadn’t had the opportunity to narrate the script to him and as he got the chance to meet producer Ganesh, he was convinced to make this movie with actor Jayam Ravi in the lead role. This will be the highest-budget movie in the career of actor Jayam Ravi as a lead actor. As per the information from the production team, it was made on a huge budget of close to Rs 200 crore.
After the first schedule in Chennai, which was completed in March 2023, the movie team erected a grand set in Chennai’s film city for the second schedule, which lasted for three weeks.
