Story
Bulbul, aka Maya Ahuja, is aware that telling the truth always gets people into difficulty, but if the truth is covered up with a falsehood, everything changes. Since she was little, she has had a strong belief in this and has lived by it. However, as she fabricates lies to hide something, the circumstances quickly become more difficult. Series Verdict
We have an option to watch many series and movies after OTT platforms are introduced in India and audience are now used to watch movies from different languages. Audience can now easily judge a series jut by watching the first episode of any series. Good Bad Girl series first episode creates the interest among the audience and 2nd episode continues the same excitement among the audience, but the series falls flat from 3rd episode and many scenes might look repetitive at times. Though Good Bad Girl series has few moments that will make the audience stick to it, it looks tedious with other episodes.
While it comes to the performances, Samridhi Dewan is very impressive as an actor and her screen presence is one of the major highlights in this series. Samridhi was not seen in main stream cinema regularly, but she already proved her acting capabilities with some of the series like ‘The Married Woman’, ‘The Office’ and also appeared in the movie ‘Lucknow Central’. Gul Panag is also equally impressive in the role of a boss Zaina Mistry, who is lovable, strict and caring. Vaibhav Raj Gupta, who impressed earlier with TVF series ‘Gullak’ gave a decent performance in this series. Sheeba Chadha and all other actors did their part as required for the proceedings.
Technically Good Bad Girl series looks okay. Background music composed by Shaej & Sarvesh is good. Cinematography by Akash Agrawal could have been better, as most of the shots from the series look very regular. Kunal Walve could have edited the series more carefully to make it more interesting to watch. Production values of this series are up to the mark.
Director Abhishek Sengupta was able to entertain with first few episodes, but failed with the later portions.
Overall, Good Bad Girl is one time watchable series with few episodes entertaining and few episodes making it hard to watch.
