Jagapathi Babu Education
His father, the seasoned producer and director V. B. Rajendra Prasad gave birth to Jagapathi Babu in Machilipatnam. He made his way into Telugu cinema after growing up in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. Jagapati Babu has his Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from Chaitanya College in Hyderabad, Telangana.

Simha Swapnam (1989), produced by her father and directed by V. Madhusudhan Rao, marked Jagapathi Babu’s first film role in her native language of Telugu. The 1992 release of Peddarikam, his first picture, was a commercial and critical success. Ram Gopal Varma’s 1993 film Gaayam was his big break. With the release of the smash hit Subha Lagnam in 1994, he gained access to the family audience and became a star.
