Verdict

Jamtara season 1 was a surprise package and entertained the audience with its real & raw making based on the real life scams. Jamtara season 2 meets the expectations and is made as interesting as the season 1. In the previous season, plot was mostly run on the phishing scam and the people making this crime more organized with the help of a local politician. But the season 2 focuses on the personal grudges of the main characters and deals with the emotional side of the characters also. Season 2 looks more interesting with the involvement of political drama. Few scenes from different episodes might feel boring, but the overall execution of season 2 keeps us engaged till the very last episode in this series.

While it comes to acting, Sparsh Shrivastav as Sunny, Anshumaan Pushkar as Rocky & Monika Panwar as Gudiya are brilliant just like the season 1 and looks very natural in the roles they appeared. Amit Sial is one such actor, who can get into the shoes of any character offered to him and give his best. He has done a fantastic job once again as Brajesh Bhaan. Seema Pahwa shines in a limited role and all other actors did their part well as required for the story.

Technically Jamtara Season 2 stand out. Though the series has been shot in some beautiful locations, cinematographer Sayak Bhattacharya has managed to create the dark mood with his visuals. Background music composed by Sidhant Mathur is another element in the series that will keep us engaged in the series. Production values are good.

Director Soumendra Padhi has managed to create the same thrill with season 2 that keeps the audience engaged in the show, as the series does not have much deviations from the main plot with unnecessary addition of characters and back stories.

Overall, Jamtara season 2 is another worth watching series available on Netflix. You can binge watch this series for it’s raw and realistic making.
