Kannada filmmakers are always keen to remake films from other languages if they receive critical accolades. They recently remade the Tamil blockbuster “Pariyerum Perumal” in Kannada, titled “Karki.”
This remake received very good applause from the Kannada audience as well and the makers haven’t made many changes from the original to keep the soul of the story alive. The OTT streaming rights for this remake are acquired by the Sun NXT OTT platform.
They have announced that the movie will be available for streaming on their platform on July 11, 2025. Jai Prakash Reddy and Meenakshi played the lead roles in this film, with Sadhu Kokila in another prominent role.
Pavithran directed this remake, which was produced by Prakash Palani under the banner of Third Eye Media. Arjun Janya composed the music, and Rishikesh is the cinematographer.
