She was born to movie mogul Suresh Kumar and actress-mother Menaka. Keerthy made her acting debut as a young actress in the 2013 Malayalam film Geethanjali. She made her acting debut opposite Vikram Prabhu in the romantic comedy Idhu Enna Maayam, for which she was nominated for and won the 5th South Indian International Movie Awards.
She first appeared on screen in Nenu Sailaja, starring alongside Ram Pothineni in the Telugu language.
