Earlier, Kannada films struggled to find a streaming platform after the theatrical run. But with the huge success of films like “KGF,” and “Kantara,” OTT platforms are now keen on purchasing the streaming rights of Kannada films as well.
The new Kannada film “Nimitta Matra,” which was released in the theaters in February 2025, has finally locked its OTT platform. The OTT streaming rights for this movie are acquired by the Sun NXT platform, and the movie will premiere on May 30, 2025.
This film was the first parapsychological thriller in Kannada. It starred Poornachandra Mysore, Sangeetha Rajeev, & Aravind Kuplikar in the lead roles.
Roshan D’Souza is the editor, producer, and director of this film. Sangeetha Rajeev herself composed the music, and Vijay Monteiro is the cinematographer.
