Verdict
Paper Rocket is A light-hearted, feel-good show with a splash of philosophy, hope, quirk, adventure, and peace, all these emotions are presented so well with each character as the series takes time to pick up the pace as it seems director Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi wantedly took time to establish all the character and their world to because the viewer need to travel the whole series and it worked out quite well.
The 8 episodes of this series partly engage you, though have well-written characters and their arcs, However, each episode has a beautiful ending but somewhere while watching the series we found the lack of emotions as the human emotions between 6 strangers could have been presented it better.
Kalidas Jayaram as Jeeva is good in his role, however, though the character itself is not very challenging and the rest of the cast did their part well.
Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’s idea is good but she failed to present it on screen, there are many scenes in the narration which didn’t help to proceed with the series as it looks like the makers trying to stretch it as it looks like a lengthy episode, However, she has written some brilliant characters and beautifully showcased their arcs.
Technically. Paper Rocket looks good, Richard M Nathan & Gavemic U Ary visuals are good and Simon K King’s music is not up to the mark and the rest of the cast did well as the series requires.
Finally, Paper Rocket is a beautiful amalgamation of human emotions.
