Verdict

Watching a big star on screen is an obsession for many people in India. No matter what the situation is, fans always try to watch their favorite stars in theatres irrespective the story and making. Pathaan is one such movie that can be watched just for Shah Rukh Khan, who looks stunning on screen and the movie contains some breathe taking visuals and action scenes that will surely entertain the audience in theatres.

Story of this movie has been watched in many movies that released in the past. An agent despite of many hurdles helping his country to come out of a deadly situation and so on. Pathaan looks special as Shah Rukh Khan is seen in such powerful role with many action scenes in the movie and there is a special surprise in the movie about the spyverse from Yash Raj films that has to be seen in the theatres only.

While it comes to acting performances, Shah Rukh Khan as always did his best to entertain the audience with his acting & style, but the styling of Shah Rukh Khan looks odd in few scenes. Deepika Padukone has done what is needed for the role, but the charm in her is completely missing on screen in this movie. John Abraham is okay with his performance, but looks good in action sequences. All other actors did their part well as required for the characters.

Technically Pathaan movie looks good. Songs composed by Vishal & Sheykhar are good, but might feel unwanted disturbing the flow of the movie. Cinematography by Satchith Paulose is one of the major highlights in the movie. Fights composed by Casey O’Neill, Craig Macrae, Sunil Rodrigues [ROD] are an eye feast for audience. Production values from Yash Raj films are good, but could have focused a little more on the VFX.

Director Siddharth Anand once again tried to deliver an out & out action movie which has very simple storyline. Though his making impresses with few action scenes, story and screenplay will surely disappoint.

Overall, Pathaan is stunning with brilliantly choregraphed action scenes that will definitely entertain SRK fans.

Plus Points:

  • Action Scenes
  • Cinematography
  • Shah Rukh Khan

Minus Points:

  • Weak story
  • Screenplay
  • VFX

Rating: 2.75/5
