Prasanna Wiki and Biography: Prasanna Venkatesan, better known simply as Prasanna, is a well-known Indian actor who primarily appears in Tamil films. There are Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam films in which he has appeared. Mani Ratnam’s 2002 film Five Star, in which he starred, was a massive box office success, and he became famous for his role in the film.
His film, in which he co-starred with Sneha and the American actor John Shea, has been shown at numerous international film festivals, including the Shanghai and Cairo International Film Festivals.

Prasanna Biography
Prasanna Education
Tiruchirappalli is the place of his birth. His dad worked at BHEL, and his mom stays at home to raise him. He finished high school at Tiruchirappalli’s BHEL Matriculation Higher Secondary School. He’s the older sibling to a younger brother. When he was younger, he excelled at acting and mimicking teachers.
He had previously stated his ambition to enter the entertainment industry. Even though her parents were unhappy with her decision, Tiruchirapalli, an EEA student at the SARANATHAN College of Engineering, attended a public hearing in support of Susi Ganesan’s Five Star (2002) actors.
Prasanna Early Life
Prasanna always knew that he wanted to be an actor. So, after finishing school, he began auditioning and eventually landed a role in Five Star, a film produced by Mani Ratnam’s Madras Talkies and released in 2002 and starring the four newcomers. Subsequently, he was in two films, Ragasiyamai (2003) and Kadhal Dot Com (2004), neither of which was a box office success. Later, in 2004, Prasanna worked hard and starred in Azhagiya Theeye, which became a smash hit.
Prasanna Career
In between filming Five Star and Azhagiya Theeye, he said it was difficult because he was cast in parts he didn’t want. Kanda Naal Mudhal was directed by Prakash Raj, and Prasanna starred in it (2005). He also starred in the hit movie “Triangular Love Story.” He also had a role in the 2007 comedy film Cheena Thana. In recognition of his work in Thirittu Payale 2 (2017), he was awarded the Filmfare Prize for Best Supporting Actor in Tamil.
The actor is known for taking risks in the movies he makes, as seen by the fact that he has portrayed both heroes and villains in his previous projects. Venkatesan’s filmography includes hits like Kannum Kannum, Kanda Naal Mudhal, Nanaayam, etc. In addition to acting in movies, Prasanna has hosted two TV shows: Sun TV’s Honeymoon Jodigal (2010) and Sun life’s Sopanna Sundari (2018). He has also contributed to a number of online series, the most recent of which is Fingertip Season 2 (2022), airing on the Zee5 Network.
