Natural Star Nani is known for content-based films. He basked back-to-back hits with Dasara and Hi Nanna. Now, collaborated a second time with Vivek Athreya, the duo collaborated for the first for Ante Sundaraniki.
The expectations have become sky-high for this Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. Nani and Vivek Athreya’s combination, SJ Suryah being a part of this film, and the Sanivaram fight concept are the reasons for the hype. Well, let’s find out if the film lives up to the expectations or not.
The story is about Surya (Nani) a middle-class guy who lives a simple life but he has anger issues from his childhood. His mother tells him, to hold his anger and show it only on Sanivaram. However, How do Surya and Daya (SJ Suryah) face-off, and what is the connection between the Sokulapalem people with Surya? is all about the film.
The film has unique points like the Sanivaram fight but the overall treatment of the film turned out to be a regular commercial mass flick.
Though the treatment is regular, the first half has enough moments of Surya and Daya. Both characters have written quite well. The love track doesn’t add any value to the story, except for Surya and Daya’s characterization, nothing makes us engage in the first half.
The interval block makes us curious to watch the second half, but the second half turns out to be highly predictable. There is no novelty in the second half, a few action blocks are good but the second half feels extremely stretched out with Sokulapalem scenes.
Nani as Surya is good, and SJ Suryah as Daya steals the show with his impeccable performance. Priyanka Arul Mohan as Charu looks cute but no scope for performance. Sai Kumar and others did their part well.
After Nani and SJ Suryah, Jakes Bejoy is the hero of the film. He elevated every scene with his brilliant background score.
Overall, Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is a one-time watch commercial flick.
