Sonakshi Sinha Upcoming Movies: Sonakshi Sinha entered the Hindi film industry as the daughter of veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha and her debut film was alongside the Bollywood superstar Salman Khan. She received continuous offers after her debut, but the actress has been seen very less on-screen these days. Her last release was ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ which was released in 2021 and was declared a financial disaster.
Sonakshi had a breakout year in 2012, starring in four films after her breakthrough performance in 2010’s Dabangg. Starring opposite Bollywood’s “Khiladi,” Akshay Kumar, in Prabhudeva’s “Rowdy Rathore” was her first film of the year. Even though it premiered with mediocre reviews, the film was a commercial success, earning INR 15.6 crores on its first day. Joker, her next picture with director Shirish Kunder, bombed at the box office and with critics. She then appeared in Son of Sardar, directed by Ashwin Dhir and starring Ajay Devgn; the film was panned by critics but was commercially successful. Dabangg 2, directed by Arbaaz Khan, was released to mixed reviews but was a commercial triumph, marking a successful close to the actress’s busy year.
Starting the year off with a role in Lootera opposite Ranveer Singh was a great way to kick off Sonakshi’s successful 2013. Despite the film’s lackluster reception at the box office, Sonakshi received much praise for her portrayal of Pakhi, a young girl with tuberculosis. The year’s other films she was in, directed by Milan Luthria, Tigmanshu Dhulia, and Prabhudeva, and starring Shahid Kapoor, were all met with negative to mediocre reviews.

Sonakshi Sinha who was last seen in the 2021 direct OTT-released movie ‘Bhuj: The Pride of India’ might have two releases by the end of this year. She had recently announced another project titled ‘Nikita Roy And The Book Of Darkness’ that will be released in the year 2023, which will mark the debut of her brother Kussh Sinha as a director.
