As of the 12th of October 1983, Soubin Shahir has been a resident of Fort Kochi, Kerala, India. The Soubin Shahir family has relocated to Fort Kochi in the Indian state of Kerala. Babu Shahir is his name, and his father was an assistant director, production controller, and producer. There are two sibling in his family: a brother and a sister. In 2003, Soubin Shahir began his career working as Siddique’s assistant on the film “Chronic Bachelor.” Then he worked with several well-known filmmakers including Fazil, Siddique, Rafi-Mecartin, P. Sukumar, Santosh Sivan, Rajeev Ravi, and Amal Neerad. With Fazil at the helm of the 2002 Mollywood film “Kaiyethum Doorath,” he made his acting debut.
His breakout role was as a physical education teacher in Alphonse Puthren’s “Premam.” His breakthrough performance in that film catapulted him to stardom in Malayalam cinema. Movies he starred in during the next few years include Charlie, Maheshinte Prathikaaram, Kali, Darvinte Parinamam, Kammatipaadam, Anuraga Karikkin Vellam, Mayanadhi, and Comrade in America – CIA. With the 2017 Mollywood film “Parava,” starring Amal Shah, Govind V. Pai, Shane Nigam, Dulquer Salmaan, Manaal Sheeraz, and others, he made his directorial debut.
