Verdict

We have seen many films which showed us the poverty of a protagonist but his dreams were big and what he did to full fill his dream. Though the story is similar, how the story is narrated is important. Taaza Khabar series doesn’t offer you a new story but it has all the elements which connect all the youngsters and middle-class people. However, the first two episodes have nothing to engage but we get to see all the characters and plot establishment.

The drama gets interesting when Vasant starts using his superpower called ‘Crypto’ trading, where he lives there no idea what crypto means, and the scenes related to crypto make us chuckle for a while but once he decided to dig deep into it, in the process of becoming rich he struck in money laundering case from then on the series becomes much more interesting. Though the series doesn’t excite us much, the gritty and dark premise and poverty-related points make us watch the entire series.

These 6 episodes of action drama have all the elements but the series ebbs and flows in every episode and the lack of cliffhangers failed to make the audience curious to watch the next episode. Despite the fact if you skip a few things in the series then you can binge-watch.

Bhuvan Bham as Vasant Gawde is good through his debut he did a brilliant job by portraying the role of a middle-class guy who dreams big, JD Chakravarthy did a decent job, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Shilpa Shukla does well and the rest of the cast did well.

Technically, Taaza Khabar is good, Remy Dalai’s gritty and dark visuals pull you into the world of Taaza Khabar and make you part of it, Jarvis Menezes & Saurabh Lokhande did a decent job with their background score, and the rest of the technical team did their best.

Himank Gaur did a decent job but the narration could have been crisper, and his point is not new but he makes us engaged with a few points like poverty, their desires to become rich, and what made them live that life.

Overall, Taaza Khabar is must watch series for a few points.

Plus Points:

  • Screenplay
  • Dialogues
  • Performances
