Movie Verdict

There many people in our country who have desires in their late age, but restrict themselves fearing of society and family around them. Thai Massage tries to explore the same point in a funny way. There are many relatable scenes in the movie that will evoke laughs in the theatres. Right from introduction of the characters in the movie, it keeps us laughing with some good one liners and fantastic performances. But the later half of the movie may feel flat as most of the scenes look very regular and climax ends very simply.

While it comes to acting performances, Gajraj Rao is definitely the saving grace of this movie. His simple expressions and gestures will make you laugh hysterically while watching on screen. His chemistry with every actor in the movie is a treat to watch. Divyendu Sharma role looks limited, but gave a decent performance.  Rajpal Yadav entertains in his limited role and all other actors did their part well as required for the story.

Technically Thai Massage movie looks okay.  ‘Do You Wanna Boom Boom’ song composed by Amit Trivedi is good, background music composed by Joi Barua is apt for the proceedings. Cinematography handled by G Srinivas Reddy looks good in parts, but makers could have concentrated a little more on DI, as most of the scenes look over saturated with the colors on screen. Editing done by Devrao Jadhav & Manish Jaitly is on point and nothing feels dragged. Production values are okay.

Director Mangesh Hadawale, who also wrote the script and screenplay for the movie could have concentrated a little more on the later half of the movie. First half of the movie looks entertaining, but later half may disappoint as the same fun goes missing.

Overall, Thai Massage is a good entertainer with a slight disappointment in the late half. You can watch this movie in theatres for Gajraj Rao’s performance and comedy timing.
