He received success with “Brahmastra” in 2022 and now came up with another interesting project “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar” under the direction of Luv Ranjan. Story
Two youngsters who think alike about the relationship decides to get married, but soon realize that they are not the people who can fit into a relationship and the situation that they have to face after their families come together for their marriage proposal forms the rest of the story.

Verdict
Romantic comedies is one of the most loved genres in India, as most of the movies made by Indian film makers try to include love and romance in the plot somehow. “Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar” has very thin line of story and mostly depends on the character design of both the lead actors. This movie is completely made to attract the youth.
Conversations between these two characters and the scenes that come later are very routine and was earlier seen in many movies. First half of the movie ends up with some boring scenes that create any interest, but the interval portions create some interest and later half continues that interest with some good scenes till the end.
While it comes to performances, Ranbir Kapoor is energetic as always, but personally we want to see him in more good roles than this kind of regular roles, which he can pull off easily. Shraddha Kapoor is not that impressive, she needs to improve a little more with her expressions. Anubhav Singh Bassi evokes few laughs with his dialogues and Dimple Kapadia is very good. All other actors did their part well as required for the characters.
Technically Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar looks good. All the songs composed by Pritam Chakraborty are breezy and lights up our mood. Cinematography by Santhana Krishnan Ravichandran is good, but most of the shots look over saturated with bright colors in the frames. Length of the film is a drawback. Production values are high.
Director Luv Ranjan once again tried to deliver a movie that can connect with the present generation, but most of the scenes in the movie are routine and lacks interest.
Overall, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar is another romantic comedy that entertains audience to some extent with some good dialogues and energetic performance from Ranbir Kapoor.
