Raksha Bandhan Movie Review & Ratings

Akshay Kumar & Bhumi Pednekar in leading roles, while Sadia Khateeb, Deepika Khanna, Smriti Srikanth, Sahil Mehta, Shivam Gaur are playing other important roles.

Lala Kedarnath, the eldest and only brother of four sisters, runs his father's chaat shop. On her dying bed, Lala promises his frail mother that he will marry only after he has fulfilled his responsibility of marrying his sisters into suitable homes.

Lala's relentless efforts to marry off his sisters while upholding his family values follow. At the same time, Lala is having problems with his romantic life with his childhood love Sapna.

However, Lala's devotion to his sisters is a major impediment to his and Sapna's love story taking off. Sapna, realising the significance of Lala's vow, decides to postpone her goal until it is completed.

The movie is directed by Aanand L Rai and produced by Aanand L Rai, Himanshu Sharma.

Akshay Kumar as Lala is very regular with the looks and performance, but the actor excels in few of the emotional scenes. May be it is time for the actor to select the roles that are challenging to him as an actor.

Lastly, Raksha Bandhan is an emotional drama that is a little age-old, yet has elements that will connect with the audience.

Rating: 3/5
