Happy Krishnastami 2022 Wishes, Quotes, Images, Greetings, Status etc

Janmashtami, Gokulashtami, or Krishna Janmashtami is a Hindu festival celebrated every year to honor Krishna, the ninth incarnation of Vishnu.

The Gaudiya Vaishnava school of Hinduism celebrates Krishna's birth on Janmashtami because they regard the son of Devaki and Vasudeva Anakadundubhi as the Supreme Personality of Godhead.

This world was in utter anarchy when Krishna was born. His uncle, King Kansa, threatened his life during a time of harsh persecution, limited freedoms, and rampant wickedness. sister-in-law and brother-in-law Shesha Balram, the avatar of the serpent, too came to Earth, this time as Krishna's older brother and the son of Rohini, Vasudeva's first wife.

On Janmashtami, devotees of the Krishna mythology fast, chant Krishna-centered devotional songs, and stay awake all night long to honour the god. Baby Krishna forms are washed, dressed, and cradled after their midnight delivery. When the fast is over, the faithful break their fast together with a meal and treats. Women often depict Krishna's entrance into their houses by drawing little footsteps leading up to the front door or kitchen.

"The mind is restless and difficult to restrain, but it is subdued by practice." - Lord Krishna, Bhagavad Gita. "When a person responds to the joys and sorrows of others as though they were his own, he or she has attained the highest spiritual union."
