Liger: Saala Crossbreed movie is directed by one of the talented directors from Telugu film industry, Puri Jagannadh.

On behalf of Dharma Productions and Puri Connects, Karan Johar, Charmme Kaur, Apoorva Mehta, Hiroo Yash Johar, and Puri Jagannadh have produced Liger.

The Telugu and Hindi versions of Liger were shot at the same time. Vijay Deverakonda and Ananya Panday play the main characters in the film.

Devarakonda, who plays a stuttering kickboxer, travelled to Thailand to train in martial arts and underwent a drastic physical metamorphosis for the part.

Star Network has secured the film's satellite rights, and Disney+ Hotstar has secured the film's digital streaming rights.

Date conflicts prevented Janhvi Kapoor from taking on the role of female protagonist, and Ananya Panday was brought in as a replacement.

Movie tentatively titled as 'Fighter' began on January 20, 2020, in Mumbai. The shoot was suspended in March of 2020 because of a Coronavirus shutdown in India, at which point 50% of the footage had already been shot. Later the schedule of the film is changed to Hyderabad.

Liger movie was scheduled for release in theatres in November of 2020, but production was halted because of the COVID-19 epidemic. It was planned to open in theatres on September 9, 2021. On August 25, 2022, audiences will be able to see Liger in theatres.
