Vijay Devarakonda's first film in leading role was 'Pelli Choopulu' that relesed in 2016 and this film was a super hit, as it was made on very minimum budget.

After the successful Pelli Choopulu movie, Vijay is seen in a film 'Dwaraka' released in 2017. With poor making and production values, this movies became a disaster.

In the same year 2017, Vijay is seen in the Blockbuster 'Arjun Reddy' that shattered all the records that year and became the biggest blockbuster of the year from Tier 2 heroes.

In 2018, Vijay was seen in the movie 'Ye Mantram Vesave' that was not promoted by the actor himself and was declared a disaster. In the same year 'Geetha Govindham' movie was declared a double blockbuster, earning many profits to the makers.

In 2018, Vijay debuted in Tamil with bilingual movie 'Nota' that is also released in Telugu. Due to poor execution of the movie, it was resulted into another disaster in the career of Vijay Devarakonda.

In the same year 2018, actor came up with another project 'Taxiwala', which was pirated even before it's release but scored a decent hit at the box-office.

In 2019, this star actor is seen in 'Dear Comrade'. Though the movie has a very good content, hype created around the film and over promotions before the release, resulted in the failure of this film.

In 2020, Vijay was seen in 'World Famous Lover', which is also hated by his hardcore fans for its age old making. It was declared as another disaster in his career. Now the actor is all set to hit the screens with his much-awaited film 'Liger' releasing this August 25, 2022.
