At age 15, she began her career as a model. She became well-known after appearing in an advertisement for Parker Pen alongside Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
She first appeared on the big screen in 2003’s Tujhe Meri Kasam. Both “Boys” and “Satyam” (2003), both in Tamil and Telegu, marked her first appearances on the big screen.
In 2006, she did two Telugu movies (‘Happy’ and ‘Raam’) and then the blockbuster smash (‘Bommarillu’). She also starred in the Tamil film “Chennai Kadha” that same year. In 2008, she made her return to Bollywood with the critically panned film Mere Baap Pehle Aap. The character of Aditi Mahant in the critically acclaimed film “Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na” was her next big break.
