Darshan Kumar is a graduate, but the details about the educational institutions from which he pursued his education is unknown as of now. We will update the details as soon as we have any authentic information about the same.

Darshan Kumar Early Life

On September 1, 1986, in a rural area near Delhi, Darshan Kumaar entered the world. He was born into a Jatt family in Punjab. Kumar claims that his father had a stronger desire for him to become an actor than he did. His father’s enthusiasm and encouragement inspired him to pursue a career in this area. It may be of interest to learn that his father, like him, wanted to be an actor and was even chosen for a starring role, but that, due to his own problems, he was never able to make a name for himself in the industry. But he encouraged his son to choose his own path.

Darshan Kumar Career

Since he was a kid, Kumar had a serious interest in performing. He used to be a poet and a performer on the college stage. He then spent two to three years performing with NK Sharma’s Act 1 theatre company in Delhi. Soon after, at age 24, he uprooted his life and headed to Mumbai in search of an acting career. When he arrived in Mumbai, he worked at the Sahaj Productions theatre, run by Neena Gupta. He was also accepted into Naseeruddin Shah’s ‘Motley,’ a band that he had long admired.

With his part as Marycom’s football player spouse Onler in the 2014 film ‘Mary Kom,’ he was introduced to the Bollywood audience alongside Priyanka Chopra. This film launched his Bollywood career and catapulted him to stardom. From there, he was cast in a wide variety of successful films, like NH 10, Mirza Juliet, Sarbjit, Baaghi 2, PM Narendra Modi, etc.

Kumar was not just a movie star but also a TV regular, having acted in shows like Devo Ke Dev Mahadev, Chhoti Bahu, Baba Aiso Varr Dhundho, and many more. He was also in a few ads that aired on TV.

Kumar also debuted in the digital realm. He has appeared in several web series, including the 2019 Zee 5 release Parchhayee, the Amazon Prime Video series The Family Man (in which he plays the role of Sameer), and the Sony liv release Avrodh: The Siege Within.
