Nagarjuna and Amala Akkineni gave birth to Akhil Akkineni on 8 April 1994 in San Jose, California, United States. He is the half-brother of actor Naga Chaitanya and the grandson of Akkineni Nageswara Rao. Sisindri (1995) was his first film appearance, and he made his feature film debut as Akhil in the major role (2015). He has won two South Indian Filmfare Awards.
