Dileep Wiki and Biography: Dileep, born Gopalakrishnan Padmanabhan on October 27, 1967, is an Indian actor, producer, and businessman who is most well-known for his work in the Malayalam cinema industry. Dileep Biography

Dileep Education

After graduating from Aluva’s Vidyadhiraja Vidya Bhavan High School in 1985, he enrolled in Union Christian College’s third pre-graduate (upper secondary) class that same year (1987). After some time, he completed his education at Maharaja’s College, Ernakulam, where he majored in history. He began to seriously consider Impressionist acts (mimicry) during his time at Maharaja College. De Maveli Kombathu, an audio cassette based on the festival of Onam that Dileep and his friend Nadirshah created and performed (vocals) in, opened doors for him in the film industry.

Dileep was born to Padmanabhan Pillai and Sarojam in the town of Edavanakad in the Ernakulam District of Kerala, India. He’s the firstborn of a family of three. Anoop is his brother, and Sabitha is his sister. On October 20, 1998, Dileep wed actress Manju Warrier. Their daughter was born in April of 2000. The couple’s divorce was finalized on January 31, 2015, following the filing of divorce papers in July 2014. On November 25, 2016, at the Hotel Vedanta in Kochi, actress Dileep wed actress Kavya Madhavan. The couple had their daughter in October of this year.

Dileep Career

At first, he was employed at Kalabhavan as a mimicry artist. Then he appeared on the Asianet comedy show “Comicola.” Later, he joined Kamal’s crew as an assistant on the set of the Malayalam film ‘Ulladakkam’ (1991).

He made his acting debut in the 1992 Malayalam film “Ennodishtam Koodamo.” He did translations from Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi, and Kannada, among others. He also provided his voice for the album De Maveli Kombathu, a collection of Onam-inspired comics. In order to help the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists, Dileep produced the 2008 Malayalam film Twenty:20, which starred a large number of actors, under his own production company, Grand Productions.

For his work in the Malayalam film “Vellaripravinte Changathi” in 2011, he won his first Kerala State Best Actor Award. Theme Music from the 1999 film Chandranudikkunna Dikkil, Onnaam Malakeri from the 2002 film Kalyaanaraaman, Saare Saare from the 2003 film Thilakkam, Kandaal Njaanoru from the 2012 film Sound Thoma, and Ashakoshale Pennundo from the 2015 film Sringaaravelan are just some of the many songs he has sung.
