Kovai Sarala Early Life
Kovai Sarala was born in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, to a family of Tamil origin. After seeing MGR in action, Sarala decided she wanted to try acting herself. She completed her studies and entered the film industry with the support of her sister and father. As far as we know, Kovai Sarala has not tied the knot. Sarala looks after the children of her relatives, as she considers them to be her own.
Kovai Sarala Career
When she was in ninth grade, she got her first film offer, and she acted alongside Vijayakumar and K. R. Vijaya in Velli Ratham. In Mundhanai Mudichu, her second film, she played a 32-year-old pregnant mother while she was still in Class 10. It was another two years until she appeared in Chinna Veedu, this time portraying the mother of Bhagyaraj’s character, a 65-year-old woman. She has acted in over 300 films in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. She has named the films Sathi Leelavathi, Viralukketha Veekkam, Varavu Ettana Selavu Pathana, Karakattakkaran and Viswanathan Ramamoorthy as her particular favourites.
She also has experience acting on screen for TV episodes and series. She has presented the reality show Paasa Paravaigal and has acted as a guest judge on the show ‘Asatha Povathu Yaaru?’ She judged the Vijay TV show “Comedyil Kalakkuvathu Eppadi” in 2013, which is a Tamil comedy show. Now she is frequent judge on the Tamil comedy show “Varuthapadatha valibar sangam” that airs on Zee Tamil. Additionally, he hosts Sun TV’s “Chellame chellam” game show for kids.
