Rana Daggubati was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India on December 14, 1984. He graduated from The Hyderabad Public School in the city’s Begumpet neighborhood. He started his Bachelor of Commerce degree after finishing high school, but he quit after only two months. He has a degree from the Chennai Film School in Industrial Photography.

He founded Spirit Media in 2005 to provide visual effects and animation services. Consequently, he moved on to serve as a visual effects coordinator for more than 70 films.
His first film, Leader, released in 2010, and quickly established him as a top star in the Telugu cinema industry. He then made his debut in the Bollywood film industry with the release of Dum Maaro Dum.

He had a part in the production of Baahubali, the year’s second highest-grossing Indian film.
