Rana Daggubati was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India on December 14, 1984. He graduated from The Hyderabad Public School in the city’s Begumpet neighborhood. He started his Bachelor of Commerce degree after finishing high school, but he quit after only two months. He has a degree from the Chennai Film School in Industrial Photography.
Rana Early Life
He founded Spirit Media in 2005 to provide visual effects and animation services. Consequently, he moved on to serve as a visual effects coordinator for more than 70 films.
His first film, Leader, released in 2010, and quickly established him as a top star in the Telugu cinema industry. He then made his debut in the Bollywood film industry with the release of Dum Maaro Dum.
He went on to star in a number of Telugu and Hindi films before his breakout performance as the film’s lead antagonist in Baahubali: The Beginning in 2015. Baahubali 2: The Conclusion broke the record for the highest domestic box office gross by an Indian film. Games, manga comics, merchandise, and more are still in high demand, showing that the film’s tremendous success went well beyond box office numbers.

Rana Daggubati is the son of Telugu cinema producer Telugu Daggubati Suresh Babu, and he was born in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. His alma mater was Hyderabad Public School, located in the city of Hyderabad. His father, the famed film producer D. Ramanaidu, received the Republic of India’s third-highest civilian award, the Padma Bhushan, for his contributions to Telugu cinema. His cousin, Naga Chaitanya, and uncle, Venkatesh, are also performers.
Rana loved movies and imagined himself on the silver screen. In 2004, he made his debut in the film industry as the film producer for Bommalata. Acting-wise, he made his debut in 2010 with the Telugu film Leader, followed by his Bollywood debut the following year with the film Dum Maro Dum (2011). He had a part in the production of Baahubali, the year’s second highest-grossing Indian film.
The readers of the Times of India rated him the 10th Most Desirable Man in India in 2010, as well as the Most Promising Newcomer of 2011, and the 20th Most Desirable Man overall in 2011. In 2004, his film Sainikudu took home two prestigious awards: the Nandi Award for Best Special Effects and the National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Telugu (Bommalata).
