Santhosh Narayanan Education
He attended RSK Higher Secondary School in Tiruchirappalli for his formal education. Santhosh Narayanan earned his bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from J. J. College of Engineering and Technology in Thiruchirapalli. After finishing school, he worked as an engineer, arranger, and programmer in the recording industry before moving on to independent music production and film scoring.
Santhosh Narayanan Early Life
On May 15th, 1983, Santhosh entered this world in Trichy, Tamil Nadu, India. He was born into a Hindu family, but little information about his parents is available. Education-wise, he got his diploma from RSK Higher Secondary School in Tiruchirappalli. Then, afterward, J. Santhosh Narayanan graduated from and wed Meenakshi Iyer, an accomplished classical Indian singer based in Australia. He studied at the prestigious J. College of Engineering and Technology. Meenakshi is now divorced from her first husband, hence he is her second husband. Dheekshitha Venkadeshan and Sudheekshanan are Santhosh’s stepson and stepdaughter, respectively.
Santhosh Narayanan Career
It was in Pa’s 2012 Tamil film Attakathi that he first took the helm as an independent music director. Ranjith. The show’s producer, who we’ll call “C,” helped him land the gig. V. Kumar, who heard him sing at a funeral and heard him working in his studio Santhosh, composed a song in the Gaana genre for the film and gave a then-unknown singer named Gana Bala the opportunity to perform it. Two gaana songs, “Aadi Pona Aavani” and “Nadukadalula Kappala,” were recorded for the movie. Both songs went on to achieve widespread acclaim, launching Gana Bala into stardom, and are credited for reintroducing gaana to Tamil film.
Santhosh Narayanan only directed Tamil movies. In that year, he released the albums for four separate soundtracks, the first of which was for the romantic drama Cuckoo. The CD of music that accompanied the film Cuckoo was praised by critics, who termed it “alluring and engrossing.”
Prior to Jakes Bejoy, he was working on the soundtrack and film score for Sarpatta Parambarai, starring Dulquer Salmaan in 2021; this was the composer’s fifth consecutive film with Pa. Ranjith, beginning with their debut film Attakathi.
His upcoming films include Pathonpatham Noottandu and Anweshippin Kandethum in Malayalam and Anel Meley Pani Thuli, Gulu Gulu, and Buffoon in Tamil and Telugu, respectively.
