Sobhan, a Telugu film director, gave birth to Santosh on July 12, 1996. His uncle, Lakshmipati was a comedian in Telugu films. Santosh earned a degree in mass communication, but he decided to follow in the footsteps of his father and pursue a career in filmmaking instead. In 2011, he made his film debut in Mohana Krishna Indraganti’s sports drama Golconda High School.
In Ram Mohan P.’s Thanu Nenu, Santosh made his acting debut opposite Avika Gor in 2015. Deccan Chronicle’s Suresh Kavirayani called him a “surprise element” while The Hindu’s Y. Sunitha Chowdhary compared him to actor Srinivas Avasarala and said that he had “a lot of ease.” Santosh took a break from acting after Thanu Nenu. Paper Boy marked Santosh’s return to the big screen in 2018. For his next TV appearance was on The Grill, which aired in 2013.
