First appearing in the film Ninaivirukkum Varai in 2001, he began his career at that time. He went on to make several more film appearances after his initial success, earning him acclaim from the Tamil film industry for his performance. He continued to work as a comedian after the success of Vennila Kabadi Kulu, appearing in films like Kalavani and Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam.

Soori Early Life

In 1996, Soori relocated from Madurai to Chennai in pursuit of a career in Tamil cinema. He tried his luck as an actor but was continually rejected, so he settled for a job as a city sweeper. Sumathi, a friend from Soori’s early days in Chennai who helped him out with both food and transportation, connected him to a casting agency. After that, in the 1998 village drama Maru Malarchi, Soori made his debut as a bystander in the crowd. Soori kept making set visits until he finally managed to persuade an art department employee at Thotta Tharani to take him on as an apprentice.

Soori worked in the film industry from 1999 to 2003 in a variety of roles, including set assistant, photo plate trainee, and electrician.
