Movie Verdict
Atithi Bhooto Bhava has some comic scenes in the first few minutes of the film that will keep you entertained. Though the story of the movie is way old, few comic scenes and emotional scenes from Atithi Bhooto Bhava makes it interesting to watch up to some extent. However, movie falls flat after the protagonist starts travelling in search of the love interest of the ghost. Though there are few moments here and there that look good, overall second half of the movie will make us feel bored with some old writing and execution.
While it comes to acting, Pratik Gandhi as Srikant looks natural and did a good job in that role. Sharmin Segal and Divinaa Thackur are not up to the mark, but managed to pull of the scenes somehow. It is Jackie Shroff, who will grab our attention with his performance. He will make us laugh with his comic timing and make us feel with his emotional performance through out the film. Actor who played the younger version of Jackie shroff also looked good with his performance. All other actors did their part as required for the movie.
Technically Atithi Bhooto Bhava looks average. Music of the film does not bring up any feel during the emotional scenes and the songs are forgettable. Cinematography handled by Madhu Vannier is partly good. Though movie is shot in some beautiful locations, cinematographer failed to capture the essence of that locations. Production values of the movie are okay.
Director Hardik Gajjar chose an old story line and tried to add some fun & emotions to it. But the scenes written does not make us connected emotionally to the characters and that fails to engage the audience.
Overall, Atithi Bhooto Bhava is an average comedy and emotional drama, that can be watched once.
