Binu Pappu Biography
Binu Pappu Education
When he was about four years old, his family relocated to Calicut, where he enrolled in Presentation Higher Secondary School. He then attended Shri Gujarathi Vidyalaya Higher Secondary School for his secondary education. Binu has always enjoyed the arts and competed in school contests since he was a little child.
After completing his prerequisites at Malabar Christian College, he attended Guruvayurappan College in Zamorin for a semester to work for a BA in History. Binu moved to Bengaluru in 2004 to study BA Animation at the Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics on a full scholarship. In addition to his time spent at BlueGrass Studios, he spent some time as a teaching member at the institute’s Koramangala centre before branching out on his own in 2006. He left the company because of problems within the company, went freelancing for a while, and then started working for Khan Global Engineering Consultants Private Limited in 2007 as a 3D visualizer.

Binu’s parents, Padmini and actor Kuthiravattam Pappu, gave birth to him in Chennai. Although Binu’s father was also an actor, he had no interest in following in his footsteps. In 2014, he made his acting debut alongside Kalabhavan Mani and Tini Tom in Salim Baba’s film Gunda. Binu’s connections with Aashiq Abu, who directed both Gangster and Rani Padmini that same year, landed him more prominent roles in both films. He starred in the critically praised films Puthan Panam (2016), Sakhavu (2017), and Kala Viplavam Pranayam (2018).
Binu Pappu Career
In 2014, he made his acting debut alongside Kalabhavan Mani and Tini Tom in Salim Baba’s film Gunda. Binu’s connections with Aashiq Abu, who directed both Gangster and Rani Padmini that same year, landed him more prominent roles in both films. He starred in the critically praised films Puthan Panam (2016), Sakhavu (2017), and Kala Viplavam Pranayam (2018).
Binu’s acting career reached a turning point in 2019. His brief yet impactful appearance in Lucifer was well received. Success followed with the releases of Virus, Ambili, and Helen. In 2021, Binu played the role of Joy Pulimoottil in the crime thriller Operation Java, following a small role in the previous year’s Halal Love Story. He was also praised for his work in Mammootty-starter One.
