Buddy Movie Review: Predictable Action Drama

After a gap, Allu Sirish has come up with an action comedy drama Buddy. He aggressively promoted the film and adding to it, he even said that single-screen ticket prices would be 99 and multiplexes would be 125. That has got the audience’s attention.

The story follows a pilot Aditya Ram (Allu Sirish) falls in love with Air Traffic Controller Pallavi (Gayatri Bharadwaj). Things take a different turn when she gets kidnapped. How he saves her with the help teddy bear is all about the film.

Buddy has a unique plot but lacks interest in predictable proceedings. Allu Sirish’s acting is good and a few action blocks are well crafted. Other than that, nothing makes us watch the film.

The film fails to build suspense in many places and Ali’s comedy track has become a bigg mess for the story.

Allu Sirish has delivered a decent performance, and Gayatri Bharadwaj is also got at parts. Ajmal Ameer’s performance looks very artificial. Ali, Mukesh Rishi, and others are just ok.

Technically Buddy looks decent. Hiphop Tamizha’s songs and background score are passable and Krishnan Vasant’s cinematography is just ok.

San Anton came up with a unique idea but failed to present it as engaging on screen. Overall Buddy is a one time watch.
