Commitment Telugu Movie Review: Once an actor, Lakshmikanth Chenna wowed with the film Hyderabad Nawab but failed to make an impact with his directorial debut, 2008’s Ninna Nedu Repu. Finally, after a long hiatus, the director has returned with a new film, entitled “Commitment,” which is set for wide distribution on August 19. Let’s dive into the meat of the review and see if this film is actually worth your time.
Story
Five ladies, each with her own hopes and goals for the future, share their stories in the drama Commitment. The same problem plagues the lives of a young actress, a sexologist, an adolescent, a student, and a young doctor; those closest to them want a commitment (sex) to get what they require. The rest of the plot concerns the bond between these people and the choice they took to end this harassment of women in the name of commitment.
Cast & Crew
Tejaswi Madivada, Anveshi Jain, Amit Tiwari, Srinath Maganti, Ramya Pasupuleti, Surya Srinivas, Simar Singh, Tanishq Rajan, and Raja Ravindra are only some of the actors featured in the film. Filmmakers Lakshmikanth Chenna and Baldev Singh and Neelima Taduri are responsible for the movie’s production. Naresh Kumaran composed the film’s score, and Sajeesh Rajendran and Naresh Rana shot and edited it. To put it simply, Prawin Pudi is in charge of editing.

Movie Verdict
The events surrounding the “Me too” movement are the exclusive focus of the film. The sexiness in most of the sequences is intended to appeal to a wide audience, but they fall short of their potential and fail to drive home the point. While the film’s central premise is intriguing, the juvenile manner in which it is presented on screen detracts from the overall experience. If more care had been taken with the script, the movie would have been great.
While Tejaswi Madivada does a decent job in patches as a starving actor, Ramya Pasupuleti is largely wasted. The film’s other starring ladies all turn in serviceable turns as well, albeit they’re featured more prominently in the film’s skin-show and adult-themed sequences. The supporting cast, including Raja Ravindra and Amit Tiwari, also performed a great job.
Movie’s technical quality is just so-so. Naresh Kumaran’s music compositions are satisfactory. Sajeesh Rajendran and Naresh Rana’s cinematography falls short of expectations. The film’s production quality is low, and it appears that many corners were cut during production.
Despite an intriguing premise, director Lakshmikanth Chenna’s film was not well received.
To sum up, the subset of moviegoers that enjoy explicit scenes will have a good time with Commitment.
