Mega daughter Niharika Konidela debuted as a producer in mainstream films with ‘Committee Kurrollu’. The film was made with newcomers and has generated enough buzz with the trailer and promotions.
Today, the film has been released and let’s find out how the film is. The plot revolves around childhood friends in Purushothapalli, West Godavari. All of them live a carefree life but a twist arises in the tale when a dispute comes between friends. What was the reason forms the rest of the story?
The film’s story is pretty simple and gives a nostalgic feeling about childhood days. The first half narrative is very impressive. There are a lot of whistle-worthy moments in the first half where we never get bored.
The interval bang presented quite well as that crates a curiosity to watch the second half. sadly, the second half falls flat with unengaging narration. Though the second half discusses serious issues like caste and youth politics, we get disconnected from the boring screenplay. The climax is also rushed.
All the newcomers have done a commendable job. Sai Kumar and other actors did a decent job. Anudeep Dev has turned out to be a big asset for the film. Edurolu Raju’s cinematography is good, he captured some beautiful locations in West Godavari.
Director Yadhu Vamsi was impressed with his storytelling but he lacks the grip in the second half. Overall, Committee Kurrollu is a decent youthful comedy drama.
