He did his schooling at Jayakeralam School, Pulluvazhy, Kochi, Kerala and he went to called Sree Sankara College, Kalady, Kerala but he dropedout His interest in movies and the media began at an early age for him. During his time at Sree Sankara College, he battled the temptation to abandon his studies in favor of pursuing his passion.
Dinesh Prabhakar Early Life
Dinesh Nair was born in Pulluvazhi, Perumbavoor, Ernakulam, Kerala, the second child of Prabhakaran Nair and Sarojini Amma. The Doordarshan serials Circus (TV series), Humraahi (picture), and Tamas (film), as well as the shows Chitrahaar and Surabhi (TV series), had a profound impact on his interest in film and the Hindi language when he was in school, and he eventually went to Mumbai to be closer to his older sister. Starting out as a medical store assistant allowed him to begin studying Hindi at the same time as providing him with a means to support himself. Living in Mumbai was crucial to his development as an actor, dubber, and casting director.
He spent his time in Mumbai desperately attempting to get into Hollywood’s film industry, but to no avail. This was in 2002, with his first film role, a minor part in Meesa Madhavan. He was able to land other roles in commercially successful Malayalam films because to his performance in this role. In the meantime, he and his friend and fellow dubbing artist Jismon launched an advertising firm.

His first acting part was in the film “Meesa Madhavan,” in which he played a buddy of the main character. The success of this performance landed him other opportunities in Malayalam films. Later, he and Jismon, another dubbing artist, launched a marketing firm. He lent his voice for the Malayalam dub of commercials for Pepsi and Coca-Cola starring Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, and Amitabh Bachchan. Prabhakar is often credited as the pioneer casting director in Malayalam cinema, also known as Mollywood.
