The South Indian filmmaker Goparaju Ramana is most known for his contributions to the Tamil cinema industry. Asta Chemma, Maya bazaar, Sundaraniki Tondarekkuva, Grahanam, and Maa Ayana Sundaraiah are just a few of the films in which he has appeared.

On April 5, 1952, in the city of Guntur, Andhra Pradesh, Goparaju Yegneswara Venkata Ramana Murthy entered this world. He graduated with a degree in hand from Andhra Pradesh’s Kolakaluru.

In 1967, he became a member of the theatre troupe Balanadam, where he made his acting debut in Avula Sambasiva Rao’s Manavuni Adugujadallo. He has appeared in almost a thousand stage productions, including hits such as “Sakkubai,” “Strike,” and “Polish Bhayya.” He later appeared on other All India Radio shows.

He’s also a well-known actor in films, particularly those in the Telugu language. He had an appearance in the 2001 film Maa Aayana Sundarayya, which starred Sri Hari and Deepti. In the 2004 Telugu film Grahanam, for which G. Ramana won a National Award, he portrayed the role of Subramaniam under the direction of Mohan Krishna Indraganti, who later directed the Telugu film Mayabazaar, in which Ramana appeared in 2006.

A year later, he appeared in the Telugu film Sundarini Tondarekkuva. The 2008 Telugu comedy film Ashta Chamma, also directed by Mohan Krishna Indraganti, has him in a supporting role. He and his pals have been in a few commercial dramas. A number of historical and mythical dramas (including “Anubandhalu,” “Raktajwala,” “Norumuyi,” “Charitraku Chamatalu Padutunnayi,” and “Nerasthudevaru”) include him as a leading or supporting character.

The Telugu TV shows Padmavyuham’ (2013), ‘Samgharshana’ (2016), ‘Mahalakshmi’ (2017), and ‘Vidhi’ (2017) were among his subsequent roles (2018). Ashta Chemma (2008), Sundaraniki Tondarekkuva (2010), Betting Bangarraju (2010), and Okasari (2012) are only a few of his Telugu movies (2016). More than ‘Amaran’ (1992), ‘Madhana Manmadhana’ (2012), and ‘Bheeman Asthinapuram,’ he has directed a few other Tamil films (2012).

His breakthrough performance as Anand Devarakonda in the 2020 Telugu film Middle-Class Melodies catapulted him into the public eye.
