The Malayalam industry has been in the spotlight with back-to-back hits like Premalu, Bramayugam, Manjummel Boys, Aavesham, etc. Now, it’s time for this comedy flick, Guruvayoorambala Nadayil. The trailer has generated decent buzz among moviegoers. Let’s see how the film goes.
The plot is about Vinu (Basil Joseph), a young guy who works abroad and comes to his hometown to marry Anjali (Anaswara Rajan). A twist arises in the tale when Vinu says he can’t marry. What was the reason behind it? is all about the film.
The first half is filled with brilliant comedy; the chemistry between Vinu, played by Basil Joseph, and Anandan, played by Prithviraj Sukumaran, worked out quite well. Though the second half has good humor, it falls flat with routine scenes.
Basil Joseph has done a decent job as Vinu; he never disappoints with his performances. Prithviraj Sukumaran stunned us with his portrayal of Anandan. We have seen him recently as an innocent Nazeeb in Aadujeevitham. Anaswara is decent in her role, while Nikhila Vimal did a neat job.
Director Vipin Das rose to fame with Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey, and now again he chooses a simple story but partially succeeds in engaging the audience. Overall, Guruvayoorambala Nadayil is a fun-filled flick that should be watched for its comedy.
