Suhas starrer Hey Balwanth has hit the theaters today, with the makers organizing premiere shows across several major screens in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
The film revolves around Krishna, a young man who has dreamt of taking over his father’s business since childhood. However, when the moment arrives for him to step into his father’s shoes, an unexpected twist shakes things up completely.
Hey Balwanth begins on an engaging note, opening with a series of entertaining moments that effectively set the tone. The first half largely banks on comedy and manages to keep the audience invested with consistent humour. The interval block lands well with a hilarious punch, generating curiosity about the second half.
Unfortunately, the second half struggles to maintain the same momentum. The screenplay ebbs and flows with routine sequences, gradually losing the grip established earlier.
Comedian Sudharshan emerges as the film’s saving grace, delivering impeccable comic timing that adds life to several scenes. The performances from the rest of the cast are satisfactory, contributing decently to the film’s overall appeal.
