He has three SIIMA Awards and a Filmfare Award under his belt. Ravi, the seasoned film editor Mohan’s son, made his acting debut in the Telugu film Bava Bavamaridi (1993), which his father also produced. He continued to work with his brother on subsequent films, such as M. Kumaran S/O Mahalakshmi (2004), Unakkum Enakkum (2006), Santhosh Subramaniam (2008), Thillalangadi (2010), and Thani Oruvan. The popularity of a later film, Jayam, caused the title to acquire a prefix to his stage name (2015).

Jayam Ravi Early Life

On September 10, 1980, in Thirumangalam, Madurai, Tamil Nadu, actor Jayam Ravi was born. Mohammed Jinnah Abdul Khader Alias Mohan and Varalakshmi Mohan are his parents. His mother is a Hindu, but his father is a Muslim. He has a sister named Roja who works as a dentist and an older brother named Mohan Raja who was a director. Jayam Ravi attended the Jawahar Vidyalaya school in Ashok Nagar, Chennai, where he finished his education. He practised Bharatanatyam dancing while he was in school and also gave performances on numerous stages. At Chennai’s Loyola College, he earned a degree in visual communication after completing his education. He travelled to Mumbai after finishing college to train as an actor at the Kishore Namit Kapur Institute. Later, he worked with filmmaker Suresh Krishna on the film Aalavandhan as his assistant director (2001)

Jayam Ravi, an actor began his career working as director Suresh Krishna’s assistant on the 2001 film Aalavandhan, in which Kamal Haasan appeared. Additionally, he appeared in his brother’s first film, Jayam, which was also his acting debut. His reputation in the Tamil cinema business improved after he appeared in this film, and he went on to star in M. Kumaran Son of Mahalakshmi, a Telegu version. He made a comeback in 2009 with the film Peranamai, which came after this one. In terms of his film career, 2015 is the best year. Due to the fact that his films were released the same year. Three of these four films have 50+ day runs across all Tamil Nadu theatres. His space-related blockbuster film, Tik Tik Tik, was released in 2018. He is currently working on movies that will be released in 2021 after these films.
