Jug Jugg Jeeyo Movie Review: If a film is backed by Dharma productions, that will definitely impress the family audience, that is how the production house has become so popular. But the recent movies released from this banner have changed the perspective and they are willing to produce the films with the new generation and new content as well. After a gap, Dharma productions is back with a family entertainer named “Jug Jug Jeeyo”. After an impressive and entertaining debut “Good newwz”, Director Raj Mehta is back with another fun-filled family entertainer “Jug Jug Jeeyo” that got released on June 24, 2022, and the movie received a mixed response from the audience after its first show. Let’s look into the in-depth review of this movie if this is worth watching your time.

Story:
The story is set between two couples, Kuku (Varun Dhawan), and Naina (Kiara Advani) the childhood friends turned couple, and Kuku’s parents Bheem (Anil Kapoor) and Geeta (Neeta Kapoor). After their marriage, Kuku and Naina move to Canada and return back after 5 years to attend the wedding of Kuku’s sister Ginni. That is when Kuku reveals his idea of getting separated from Naina. At the same time, Bheem reveals that even he is vexed with his marriage life and wants to get separated from Geeta. The situations that follow form the rest of the story. Verdict
Just like all other Dharma products, this movie has great production values and looks rich in every frame. Even the story of the movie looks good with a good point, that is dealt with added fun and emotions. Raj Mehta, who addressed a social issue in a funny way in his recent outing “Good Newwz”, once again was partially successful in engaging the audience by dealing with a serious point on legal separation and issues in marriages with humor added to it. The first half of the movie though looks faster and funnier, we can feel the discomfort in some scenes with its way of writing, however, the main point only takes the lead during the pre-interval and the movie then takes a turn to an emotional ride of these characters. Though the movie looks good, it also looks over dramatic and over the top with the funny sequences in parts. I feel the movie can be watched in theatres for its fun and emotional scenes that will make you connected, despite a few flaws in its writing.
