K.V.Guhan has worked as both a director and a cinematographer. He grew raised in the city of Chennai in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. On April 26, 1972, K.V.Guhan entered this world in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. He’s the director Saran’s younger brother. The Film and Television Institute of India is where K.V.Guhan earned his degree in Cinematography. He went on to work in both Tollywood and Kollywood, where he quickly established himself as a top cinematographer and even directed a few films.
K.V. Guhan Career
The 2003 film Kushi marked the debut of actor and filmmaker K.V.Guhan. After that, he was in a slew of films, including Naani, Athadu, Aarya, Muni, and Jalsa. Afterward, he took the helm of the film Inidhu Inidhu. Dookudu, SVSC, Aagadu, Baadshah, Mister, and Jawan are only few of the films he shot after returning to cinematography. He has directed some movies like 118, and WWW.
For the first three to four years of his professional life, K V Guhan was employed by Bala Chander in the editing department. After that, he began working as P.C. Sree Ram’s assistant, who is a well-known cinematographer. Kushi (Hindi Feature), his debut film, was released in 2003. His debut Telugu movie, Naani, starring Mahesh Babu, was released the same year. After waiting a year, he finally got to film in Tamil, his native language. This was a brand-new release of the movie. That was the beginning of a successful career for him.
Throughout his career, he has primarily collaborated with Trivikram Srinivas, Mahesh Babu, and Prakash Raj. Together, K V Guhan and Prakash Raj have made nine films. In the end, Srinu Vaitla stuck with Guhan as his DOP for both “Dookudu” and “Baadshah,” despite having tried out three others for the role. His native tongue is Tamil, but he has mostly acted in Telugu movies. Inidhu Inidhu was K V Guhan’s first film as a filmmaker. Prakash Raj served as the film’s executive producer.
