Karthika Deepam Story
Doctor Karthik and Deepa see one other regularly. Karthik thinks that Deepa is really generous and nice. While Deepa’s stepsister Sravya has feelings for Karthik, his brother Aditya is smitten with Karthik’s sister. Soundarya, Aditya’s mom, and Aditya and Sravya’s dad are all on board with the marriage. Sravya is so thrilled by the prospect of marrying Karthik that she threatens suicide if he doesn’t propose. Karthik approaches Sravya’s father (with whom she resides) for approval to marry Deepa, but he dodges the question. Karthik and Deepa get married in a temple and then tell everyone about it at a party, which enrages Soundarya and Sravya. Soundarya welcomes Deepa into the family; Sravya marries Aditya despite her earlier desire to eliminate him and Deepa from the picture.
Karthik’s old acquaintance Mounitha has come back, and she wants to be with him. She is responsible for Sravya’s miscarriage and tricks Karthik into thinking Deepa is having an affair with her writer buddy Vihari. Soundarya is supportive of Deepa’s pregnancy decision. Karthik undergoes a fertility test, but his college girlfriend’s killer, Mounitha, swaps the samples. She makes several failed attempts to have Deepa killed before hiring Durga to do it for her. Upon witnessing Deepa’s generosity, however, Durga decides to spare Deepa’s life. Monitha makes a futile attempt to kill them off in a car crash. Deepa finds employment in the fuel industry. Vihari explains to Soundarya that he and Deepa are like brothers and sisters, and he disproves any suspicions that Soundarya might have had that he had an affair with her. Soundarya apologizes to Deepa for their misunderstanding and begs her to come back, but Deepa continues on her way. Twins are born to Deepa, and Soundarya decides to keep one. After falling in love with the baby, Karthik decides to name her Hima, after his late fiancée. Meanwhile, Deepa and her second daughter, Souurya, have fled the city.
