At 11.30 a.m., it changed. With 1532 episodes under its belt before being cancelled and replaced by Kanmaneeya on December 13th, 2011 — what was once a popular show has since seen its broadcast schedule changed twice. Easwari Rao, Niya, Latha Sabapathi, Delhi Ganesh, Shyam, Neelima Rani, Aparna, and Nithish were only some of the actors who appeared on the show. Balaji Telefilms Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor produced it with contributions from a number of filmmakers. Furthermore, it was shown in Sri Lanka on the Tamil service Shakthi TV. It’s a new adaptation of the popular Gemini TV show Kalyanee.

Kasthuri Story
A tale of a country babe and her city-bred hubby. Ram, the prospective husband, is searching for an intellectual and well-read partner. He and his parents travel to the hamlet to visit Kasturi, but while there, he notices a more attractive girl hanging out by the well. Ram approves of the marriage because he believes she is Kasthuri (Easwari Rao), so they set it up. When Ram and Kasturi’s wedding day arrives, he is taken aback by the reality of Kasturi, who is much darker than he had imagined and neither well-educated nor trendy in appearance. Since he is stuck with Kasthuri (Easwari Rao) as his wife, he eventually gives in and marries her. After that, he takes Kasturi back to his house in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
As time goes on, Ram is able to identify the rural girl he had met, establishes contact with her, and secretly marries her while still married to Kasturi. Ram has a friend who is exceptionally courteous and conscientious. So that Kasturi and her father might find Ram again, he assists in making that connection. Through the entirety of the show, we see how Kasthuri (Easwari Rao) handles life without Ram.
