Verdict

We have seen many films and series in the Bihar backdrop yet it feels fresh and exciting to watch them on screens though the plot and premise look the same Khakee: The Bihar Chapter is the series that keeps you invested from beginning to end. The series starts off interestingly by narrating how Chandan Mahto takes over Shaikpura, it then dives into the lives of  Amith Lodha who is a sincere police officer and always wants to bring change in society,  the series ebbs and rise intermittently in the first 3 episodes.

Once the merciless goon Chandan Mahto and Amit face off starts then the series gets interesting and every episode perfectly blends all the emotions that make us connect with the story, though the series pace dips in every episode with over-stretched drama the points like how Power, Crime, changes the perspective of life, how every individual get influenced with the atmosphere of crime and what made them become ruthless goons, all these showcased interestingly and make the series watchable.

Karan Tacker as Amith Lodhaa did the best, and the rest of the cast Avinash Tiwary, Ashutosh Rana, Ravi Kishan, Nikita Dutta, Abhimanyu Singh, Shraddha Das, Jatin Sarna, Anup Soni did their best.

Neeraj Pandey who was impressed with his brilliant films like ‘A Wednesday’, ‘Special 26’, and ‘Baby’ now, turned a writer with this series and he tried to delve into the criminal’s and cop’s minds and what made them become criminals and how the power made politicians become like criminals and Bhav Dhulia treated quite well with his narration.

Technically, the series looks good, the cinematography pulls into the film and makes you part of it, and the background score is good but it could have been better and the rest of the team did well.

Overall, Khakee: The Bihar Chapter is decent series that can be easily binge-watched by every section audience, except family
