Kishore received his education in the towns of Kunigal, Tumakuru district, Karnataka, at both St. Teresa’s School and Sri Siddhartha High School. In 1996, he enrolled at National College, Basavanagudi, Bengaluru, to pursue a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry. Kishore received his master’s degree in Kannada literature from Bangalore University in 2000.

First appearing as Beera in the 2004 Kannada film Kanti, Kishore has since gone on to star in several other films. Kishore first appeared in a Telugu film in 2006, Happy, in the part of ACP Rathnam.
He made his acting debut as Selvam in the 2007 Tamil film Polladhavan. Kishore first appeared on screen as Shakthivel in the 2012 Malayalam film Thiruvambadi Thamban. Kishore’s breakout act as Veerappan in the 2013 Kannada film Attahasa catapulted him to popularity. Kishore gained notoriety in 2022 for his roles as Ravi Dasan in the Tamil film Ponniyin Selvan: I and as a forest officer in the Kannada film Kantara.
Kishore Kumar G is the CEO of Visthaara, a production company. The Telugu online series High Priestess, starring Kishore in the role of Vikram, premiered on Zee5 in April 2019. His part as Imran Pasha in the Hindi online series The Family Man premiered on Amazon Prime Video in September of 2019. When the year 2020 rolled around, Kishore portrayed Ram in the Telugu online serial Addham on Aha. In 2022, he had a recurring role as Nayak on the second season of the Netflix original series She, which was dubbed in Hindi. Kishore said in an interview that director Imtiaz Ali chose him for the role of Nayak based on a video he made about farming rather than an audition.
